This policy explains what personal information Guruge Cinnamon Expo Products collects when you use this website, contact us, or place an order, how we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Guruge Cinnamon Expo Products is a Ceylon cinnamon grower and exporter based in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any question about this policy or about the information we hold on you, contact us using the details on our contact page.
When you send an inquiry, request an export quotation, or order from us, we collect what you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, company name where relevant, and the details of what you are asking for.
When you browse the site we do not ask you to create an account or provide anything about yourself. Your language and currency preferences are stored in your own browser so the site remembers them on your next visit.
We use your information to answer your question, prepare a quotation, fulfil and ship an order, and keep the records a Sri Lankan exporter is required to keep. We do not use it to build a marketing profile of you.
We will only send you marketing messages if you ask us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
We share only what is necessary, and only to do what you asked: shipping and freight companies need a delivery address, customs authorities in Sri Lanka and in your country need shipment declarations, and our bank needs payment references.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Most of our conversations happen on WhatsApp. When you message us there, that conversation is also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. The same applies to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and to Google Maps when you open directions to our shop.
If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email works just as well and reaches the same people.
Inquiries that do not become orders are kept only as long as the conversation is useful to both of us. Order and export records are kept for as long as tax, customs, and accounting rules require, after which they are deleted.
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to us and we will respond.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date shown above.
