Grades, coumarin, shipping times, customs, and how export orders work — answered by the family that grows and peels the bark.
Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) grows only in Sri Lanka. Its bark is hand-peeled into paper-thin layers and rolled into soft, brittle quills with a delicate, sweet flavour — unlike cassia, the thick, hard, harsh-tasting bark sold as cinnamon in most supermarkets.
Ceylon cinnamon is naturally very low in coumarin, the compound that limits how much cassia can be safely eaten. That is why chefs, nutritionists, and wellness brands specifically seek out true Ceylon. We are not able to give medical advice, so speak to a doctor about your own intake.
The grades describe quill diameter and appearance, not quality. Alba is the thinnest and palest, with the most delicate flavour. C5 Special is slightly thicker and the most popular export grade. C4 is thicker again and excellent value for grinding, brewing, and bulk kitchen use. Our grade guide compares all of them side by side.
Keep quills and powder in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight, heat, and damp. A cool, dark cupboard is ideal — refrigeration is not needed and adds moisture. Whole quills hold their aroma far longer than ground cinnamon, so if you want the oils at their strongest, grind only what you need.
Our online store is in its final stage of preparation and opens soon. Until then, browse the collection freely and reach us on WhatsApp or through the contact page — we personally handle every request, from a single gift box to a full container.
Hand-rolled quills in Alba, C5 Special, and C4 grades; freshly milled Ceylon cinnamon powder; a caffeine-free cinnamon tea infusion; and gift sets for travellers. Retail pack sizes and bulk export volumes are both available — message us and we will tell you what is in stock right now.
Message us on WhatsApp with the grade and quantity you want, or send the contact form. We reply with availability, a price in your currency, and shipping options. Nothing is charged until you have confirmed the total and the delivery method in writing.
For international orders we invoice by bank transfer, and for export shipments we work to the payment terms agreed in your quotation. Card checkout arrives with the online store. We will never ask for card details over WhatsApp or email.
Yes. We ship from Sri Lanka to customers and importers around the world, by courier for retail parcels and by air or sea freight for bulk export volumes. Tell us the destination country and we will confirm the options and cost before anything is dispatched.
Retail parcels are usually dispatched within two to three working days of an order being confirmed, and most courier destinations take a further one to three weeks depending on the country and customs. Freight timelines are quoted per shipment.
Import duties, taxes, and clearance charges in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility, as they are set by your own customs authority and not by us. We declare every shipment accurately and include the paperwork your customs office needs.
Yes. We prepare export-grade Alba, C5, quills, and powder with full documentation for wholesalers, retailers, and private-label brands worldwide. Send us an export inquiry and our team will respond with specifications and a quotation.
Minimums depend on the grade and the destination, and we would rather match a realistic first order than turn away a new buyer, so tell us what you need. Private-label packing and your own carton markings are available on bulk orders.
Yes. We send samples to serious buyers so you can assess colour, aroma, and quill quality before committing to a volume, and we supply the origin and analysis paperwork your importer or retailer requires.
We would love that. Our shop in Hikkaduwa welcomes travellers and buyers — see, smell, and taste the grades before choosing what to take home. Directions and opening hours are on the shop page.
